Changing the length of audio or MIDI regions in BandLab helps you control timing, build loops, and fine-tune your arrangement. Here’s how to adjust regions with precision.
Trimming Regions
- Click a region to select it.
- Hover over the left or right edge until the resize tool appears.
- Click and drag to shorten or extend the region.
Looping and Repeating
- Drag from the top right corner of a region to loop it.
Snapping Regions to the Grid
Regions snap to grid lines based on the zoom level and snap settings.
- Click the Snap to Grid button to enable the feature
- Click and hold a region to move it. The region snaps to the grid when you stop holding the region.
- Right click on an empty place on the track lane to open the adjust the Grid size.

Tip: Use zoom and snap tools together to align regions exactly to bars and beats.
