BandLab makes it easy to add fade-ins, fade-outs, and crossfades to your audio regions. These tools help you smooth transitions and avoid sudden starts or cuts.

Fade-in and Fade-out

  • Click a region to select it.
  • Hover over the top-left (fade-in) or top-right (fade-out) corner.
  • Drag the small handle inward to apply the fade.

Tip: Use your browser zoom-in feature for easier operation of the zoom handles

Crossfades

  1. Place two audio regions on separate tracks
  2. Create a crossfade by fading-out one track while fading-in the other track.

Tip: Use fades to eliminate clicks or pops at region edges — especially useful for vocals or acoustic instruments.
