BandLab allows you to edit MIDI regions easily using its Piano Roll interface. This is useful for composing melodies, chords, or drum patterns directly in your browser.

Editing MIDI Notes

  1. Double-click a MIDI region to open the Piano Roll or click MIDI Editor (bottom-left).
  2. Click and drag notes to change pitch or timing.
  3. Drag note ends to change their length.

Velocity

Transpose and Legato

Tip: Use copy/paste and transpose to quickly build chords and patterns from one note or motif.

Quantize

Humanize
Video: humanize to slightly offset notes for a natural feel (click play button)
