To help you get started with using a digital audio workstation (DAW) for and in your music education practice, I launched the first DAW guide. This BandLab guide includes thirteen tutorials that cover the basics of this free online DAW that you can use in your browser.

The information in the tutorials is at the base level (Train) of the TIER approach. This means that you will learn about features in BandLab that you’ll need to master before you can make music with this DAW and before you can integrate it into your music teaching.

The guide is all about learning to operate the technology (BandLab). It is about getting familiar with the knobs, faders, and other parts of the interface. It is also about learning to work with digital audio in general. Once you’ve learned these basics you will probably discover opportunities for making music and for integrating DAWs, such as BandLab, into your music classes or your music lesson preparation workflow.

The BandLab Guide is the first of many more to come. These will include guides for learning the basics of other DAW’s (Ableton Live, Apple Garageband, and Logic Pro X) and other technology you could potentially implement in your music lessons. You will find these guides in this website’s Train (TK) section, under the Resources > The TIER Approach menu.

And that is not all..

Besides the guides will be updated and expanded from time to time, I will be starting soon to include information and learning materials covering the other levels of the TIER approach.

So, enjoy the BandLab guide, discover what muzketier.nl already has to offer, and be welcome to come back from time to time. I will keep you posted on LinkedIn.
