BandLab allows you to record audio directly in your browser. Whether you’re tracking vocals, guitar or spoken word, it’s fast and simple to capture great takes.

Set Up an Audio Track

  1. Click + Add Track.
  2. Select Voice/Audio, Guitar or Bass.

Choose Input

  • Select your input device (USB mic, interface, or built-in mic).
  • Allow microphone access when prompted by your browser.

Set Up the Metronome

Turn on the metronome for better timing. Choose a tempo and use count-in to get use to the tempo and start your recording perfectly in time.

Monitoring

  • Enable Monitoring to hear yourself through your speakers or headphones.

Tip: Use headphones while recording to avoid feedback or mic bleed.

Start Recording

  1. Click the red Record button.
  2. Perform your part, then click Stop when finished.

Latency Correction

Latency is the time between making a sound to record and hearing back the recorded audio through your speakers or headphones. BandLab can automatically minimize latency.

  1. Go to the BandLab menu and choose Latency Test from the Tools sub menu.
  2. Unplug your headphones.
  3. Place your microphone in front of your speakers.
  4. Click Start Test.
  5. Close the Round-trip Latency Correction panel and that’s it.
