I am proud to share that last Friday, I was re-elected as a member of the new board of the European Association for Music in Schools (EAS).

During the General Assembly, the current EAS Board — of which I have been a member for the past two years — presented updates to the EAS membership about our recent work and accomplishments. The final item on the agenda was the announcement of the results of the online board elections.

Within the EAS Board, my focus has been on two main areas: membership administration and the European Day of Music in Schools, for which I have served as the board’s contact person and lead, guiding and supporting the working groups preparing this annual celebration of music in schools across Europe.

Managing the membership administration turned out to be a substantial task, involving multiple software platforms and manual data transfers. To reduce the workload and streamline the process, we will soon implement a new membership administration platform. Once the transition is complete, I will step down from this responsibility to focus entirely on coordinating the European Day of Music in Schools within the EAS Board.
