Fade-in and Fade-out

Gradually increase or decrease the level of your audio.

  • Click on a region, then drag the small handle at the top left/right corner to create a fade.
  • Use fade-in for smoother entrances and fade-out to end cleanly.

Crossfade

Because there is no single-track crossfade feature in BandLab, do the following:

  • Create two tracks with one region each.
  • Make both regions overlap where you want to have the transition from one region to the other.
  • Create a fade-out for the first region where you create a fade-in for the second region.

Gain Adjustment

  • Double click on a region and adjust the volume slider in the editor panel.
  • Use this to boost or reduce a region without using the track fader.

Normalize and Silence

These options are not built-in as single buttons, but you can achieve similar results:

  • Normalize: Manually adjust gain until peaks are just below 0dB.
  • Silence: Use the scissors to split and delete audio you want silent.

Zoom in and out

For precise edits, zoom in with the magnifying glass or trackpad gesture.
