Samples vs. Loops

Unlike one-shots (samples), loops are designed to repeat (without clearly audible transition to the repeat).

Using Other Samples and Loops

You can also add external Loops and Samples not included in BandLab. Find these in loops and sample packs or other free and paid libraries (e.g., splice.com).

See our tutorial Importing Audio, MIDI, and Video in BandLab for how to add external samples and loops.

Tip: Combine loops with your own recordings for a more personal sound.

My Favorite Sounds

Save your favorite packs, samples, and loops for easy access later. This can be useful for education. For example, if you want your students to work with samples you have pre-selected.

  1. Check the star icon with a preferred pack, loop, or sample.
  2. Click My Sounds to open the Favorites tab and browse your saved sounds.
